On our way back from the trail, Emigdio encountered a Ranching family that wanted to discuss the land use controversies with him. SEMARNAP is planning on restricting cattle herds from the Parque Nacional Sierra San Pedro Martir pending ecological research being conducted on the land. The family's young son plays on a rock as his parents talk nearby.
